Needed: wary walkers

When can wary walkers enjoy the joy of safe walking? Today’s Oregonian Editorial cautions pedestrians and motorists: “Last year, 62 pedestrians died in Oregon, up from 39 in 2009.  That’s a nearly 60 percent increase.”  America Walks Executive Director Scott Bricker says he “has been urging the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to go deeper and recommend uniform data collection on pedestrian injuries.” Read the full editorial.
