Distracted Driving Summit – Sept. 30 in Washington, D.C.

September 8, 2009

The Distracted Driving Summit will facilitate a structured conversation among government, academia, and the private sector on current and future initiatives to address the safety issues associated with distracted driving. The meeting will include five panels – on data, research, technology, policy, and outreach – with a range of experts discussing each topic. After each panel session there will be a roundtable discussion and questions – both from the floor and from viewers of a live webcast who can submit questions electronically.

The Summit, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation, will be held from September 30 – October 1, 2009 at the Renaissance Hotel, 999 9th Street NW, Washington, D.C.

In order to expand the participatory nature of the Summit, all invitees have been offered resource space to display material relevant to the topics covered in the Summit in order to expand the dialogue and provide details that would not be available due to the constraints of the Summit agenda.
