New Release: International Report on Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety and Mobility

July 28, 2009

A high powered U.S. contingent recently wrapped up a study of several European countries to determine what makes walking and bicycling such significant sectors of transportation in those countries.  Their conclusions highlight the importance of policies that declare walking and cycling as primary modes of transporation in some residential areas, the design of streets that make walking safe and attractive, and substantial encouragement of walking. Check their report for yourself.
